The Emily Dickinson Journal is published by John's Hopkins University and is sponsored by the Emily Dickinson International Society (EDIS.) from 1992 through the present day. This journal showcases articles from scholars about Emily Dickinson and her works. It is an important journal to look through when thinking about the history of sapphic people with Emily Dickinson being a well known poet who is known to have had affairs with women and is often aligned with depictions of sapphic and lesbian identities. Her works and analysis of them are useful to someone looking to find more on sapphic identities, and sapphic literature before LGBTQ+ people were more widely accepted by society. Several articles in the journal detail her sapphic tendencies, history, and the modern impacts of her works.
