FYS: Cultural Raiders

Questions to consider when looking at your source:

  • Does your source provide up-to-date information about the Treasure?

  • Does your source make an argument?

  • Does your source provide background and context?

  • Where does your source get its information?

  • Does your source provide references/links to additional sources?

  • Are you familiar with the site/publisher responsible for the source? If yes, what do you know?

Questions to consider when investigating your source:

  • If there were references/links to other sources, explore those. Trace claims/quotes/media to the original context, if applicable.

  • If you don’t know anything about the publisher/site, find out more information about it. (Wikipedia is great for this).

  • Find another source that you think would be complementary for your source, or a better source to use. (you might use information from your source to help you find other sources).
