Children's Literature reference books (encyclopedias, dictionaries, etc) are located on the ground floor of the library, along with all of the other reference books.

  • Ps for general literature encyclopedias and indexes

Looking for Fairy Tales?

Doing fairy tale research in Wyndham Robertson Library?  We have a number of reference works to support this research.

For general information about tales, try a subject search of "Fairy Tales Encyclopedias" or "Folklore Encyclopedias"

 

Need to do in-depth research about a fairy tale or motif? The ATU Tale-Type Index or the Motif Index (both linked below) might be useful. Here is a link to a guide specifically about the motif index. (Note: this guide was developed for a undergraduate course, so you will see references to a specific assignment)
