Since the art of swordsmanship is an art of careful motion, it would be helpful for researchers to examine historical sword techniques through video resources. I have compiled a list of videos from HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) instructors which detail how they go about reconstructing historical European sword techniques. Studying these videos will allow for a greater understanding of the practical approaches historical duellists used during duels. This gives a greater understanding of the motion of accurate sword fighting- which may not be gleaned completely from the written word. These videos will give greater insight into practicality rather than theory- useful for both HEMA and sword enthusiasts as well as theater practitioners.
