VLA is the professional association for Virginia library workers; they provide education, support, and advocacy for all types of libraries - since 1905! Some resources are accessible to members only, but other content is free: for example news, a calendar of conferences, workshops, and meetings; even library-themed t-shirts. VLA forums include a variety of groups including different types of library work (academic, youth services, makerspaces) and also different groups of workers (new members, lgbtquia+). Most valuable is the job list, which lists new library jobs in all types of libraries around Virginia and is accompanied by a list of how-to job search resources. (VLA, c2021)
