Finding Resources for your asignments

This course guide will offer you a variety of avenues to find useful and reliable information from high-quality sources about literature.

The good news (and the occasionally overwhelming news) is that people have been writing about tragedy for centuries.  There is no shortage of information about this general topic, but our task is to narrow your searching to find relevant results for the specific research topic you are investigating.

Use the tabs above to locate resources by type of material:

  • Reference sources (bibliographies, encyclopedias; biographical info; etc)
  • Books (including online books)
  • Articles

What you Need to Know

  • Your Name
  • The last 5 digits of the barcode number on your Hollins ID, OR your A number

You will use this information to request books from Roanoke College; and to gain access to any of our online databases.
