Queer Horror is a website dedicated to giving an overview of queer horror media including movies, books, articles, and stories. It is also divided into popular sub genres such as demons, werewolves, ghosts, vampires, and thrillers. This site is clearly old however it is good research starting point for those looking for older queer media. This site does not list any curator however that is not necessarily a bad thing as it is a diabase and the links imbedded in the site are live and include relevant information to the topic of queer horror.
This link on the popular academic site hosts a list of articles that are all about queer horror. This site is qualified for research as the majority of content listed on the Jstor site are previewed. Jstor also contains more articles that are relevant to the topic. Jstor contains works form over 900 publishers and spans multiple disciplines. There are over 12 million journal articles. The Hollins library is subscribed to the database as it is utilized by multiple departments more than once a year. The site itself also has its own permalinks embedded on the website.
University of Pittsburgh Horror Studies Working Group
The Horror Studies Working Group is run by a non-profit organization; The George A. Romero Foundation or GARF, is dedicated to the memory of George A. Romero and give awards for socially conscious horror. They also work closely with the University of Pittsburgh. Most important for our purposes is the section dedicated to queer horror. This link contains information on their annual queer horror confidence as well as a link to GARF’s queer horror podcast. The podcast is assessable in full for free thorough the link on this website.
